GEOSTRUCTURAL ANALYSIS SHEETING CHECK

GeoStructural Analysis Sheeting Check is used to predict sheet pile performance throughout construction and the service life. Performance assessment includes estimating the displacement and pressures within the soil and acting on the sheet pile, as well as loads acting on reinforced elements. GeoStructural Analysis Sheeting Check can utilize custom data or analysis output from the GeoStructural Analysis Sheet Pile Design program.

The program is leveraged to optimize a range of criteria such as structural behavior models, displacement field determinations, and anchor post-tensioning. Easy to use and intuitive, the GeoStructural Analysis Sheeting Check module closely follows traditional methods used to analyze braced or reinforced sheet pile structures.

Key Features

  • Specify surface terrain and subsurface stratigraphy in front of, behind, and beneath the sheeting structure
  • Define soil layers with different properties using either project-specific data or the built-in soil parameters database of common soil types (USCS)
  • Import soil parameters from gINT
  • Apply an unlimited number of reinforcement anchors to the sheet pile wall
  • Easily define structural elements such as struts and/or external boundary conditions (prescribed displacement)
  • Apply user-defined displacements, forces, and moments to sheet piles
  • Apply an unlimited number of surcharge loads to sheeting structures of varying configurations, including trapezoidal, strip, and concentrated load distributions
  • Model water conditions both in front of and behind the sheet pile structure, including artesian water conditions

Analysis and Design Capabilities

  • Analyze performance throughout staged construction, including internal force envelopes
  • Introduce anchors, struts, etc., at different stages of construction
  • Evaluate internal stability of sheeting anchors
  • Evaluate modulus of subsoil reaction against a variety of theories (Ménard, Schmitt, Chadeisson)
  • Evaluate non-linear modulus of subsoil reaction
  • Analyze for effective or total earth pressure conditions
  • Analyze sheet pile structure design based on safety factors or limit state design methodology
  • Evaluate external stability of a sheeting structure using GeoStructural Analysis Slope Stability
  • Analyze for earthquake effects, including Mononobe-Okabe and Arrango methods
