GEOSTRUCTURAL ANALYSIS PILE CPT

GeoStructural Analysis Pile CPT utilizes increasingly common CPT data obtained at project sites to directly design pile foundations. CPT data files input from gINT and other data formats are used in international design standards to design for single and group axial pile capacity and settlement.

 

Key Features

  • Direct input of CPT data from gINT and other data formats
  • Define ground water table conditions and soil stratigraphy using embedded soil database or project specific soil information
  • Compute load-displacement curve
  • Perform analysis with either Factor of Safety or Limit State specifications
  • Specify pile shape (e.g. circular, rectangular) and material type (e.g. concrete, steel, timber)
  • Consider method of installation, including driven, vibrated, or cast-in-place
  • Perform design for single pile and for pile groups
  • Consider downdrag (negative skin friction) forces
  • Implement CPT based pile design methods developed by LCPC (Bustamante), Schmertmann, Eurocode 7-2 (EN 1997-3), and NEN 6743 (Netherlands standard)
  • Perform analysis in either metric or imperial units
