GEO5 NAILED SLOPES
GEO5 Nailed Slopes enables you to perform in-depth design, verification and analyses of nailed slopes that are stabilized by earth anchors.
Key Features
- Easily define nailed slope geometry
- Specify surface terrain and subsurface stratigraphy behind the nailed slope
- Define soil layers with different properties using either project-specific data or the built-in soil parameters database of common soil types (USCS)
- Import soil parameters from gINT
- Apply an unlimited number of equivalent external forces for earth anchors, safety fences, etc., to evaluate their influences on system performance
- Apply an unlimited number of surcharge loads to soil-nailed slopes of varying configurations, including trapezoidal, strip, and concentrated load distributions
- Model water conditions both in front of and behind the soil-nailed slope, including artesian water conditions
- Select from a variety of pressures acting on the front of the soil-nailed slope, including passive, reduced passive, and at rest
Analysis and Design Capabilities
- Analyze performance throughout staged construction
- Check reinforced concrete cross-section design against a variety of industry design codes
- Analyze slip surface stability, including straight or polygonal
- Analyze for effective or total earth pressure conditions
- Analyze nailed slope design based on safety factors or limit state design methodology
- Evaluate internal stability using checks for translation, overturning, and foundation soil load-bearing capacity
- Evaluate external stability of a nailed slope using GEO5 Slope Stability
- Evaluate bearing capacity of soil supporting foundation using GEO5 Spread Footing
- Analyze for earthquake effects, including Mononobe-Okabe and Arrango methods
