Revision History:
05 March 2001:
Error in the name of the Water_Content_Oversized field in the COMPACTION table. Previous uploads had it spelled "Water_Content_Oversize", that is, the last "d" was missing. This did not affect the output or the example project.
20 February 2001:
Added GRF A GNNN01_Oversize_Limit User System Data item to make customization easier and added documentation in the Special Notes section below detailing how to change this limit.
18 February 2001:
Initial Upload
05 March 2006:
1. Renamed graph report and User System Data items from "GAGNNN01" to "GRF A GNNN01"
2. Added User System Data item "GRF A GNNN01 Corrected Prefix"
3. Removed Fixed Curves and instead implemented "Curves from Equations", a graph report property available in versions 6 and later.
4. Instead of having a single oversize limit in User System Data, we've enabled multiple oversize limits by adding an "Oversize Limit" field to the compaction table.

INCLUDED FILES:
GRF A GNNN01.GLB
gINT library file containing:
Graphs : GRF A GNNN01
User System Data: GRF A GNNN01 Corrected Density
GRF A GNNN01 Corrected WC
GRF A GNNN01 Fine Frac
GRF A GNNN01 Has Oversized
GRF A GNNN01 Corrected Prefix
GRF A GNNN01.GDT
gINT project data template. You will clone this file to create new project files.
GRF A GNNN01.GPJ
gINT project file containing one set of example data. You can use this file to clarify any input procedure questions
by looking at the way the data was entered in the Input application. You can also output this data using the report
template to see what the final output looks like.
*************************************************
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Copy GRF A GNNN01.GPJ to your gINT projects directory (usually C:\GINTW\PROJECTS or C:\Program Files\GINTW\PROJECTS).
2. Merge GRF A GNNN01.GLB:
a) Bring up gINT.
b) Move to the Utilities application group and then to the Lib Merge/Copy application.
c) Mark "Merge From".
d) Specify the source library file as GRF A GNNN01.GLB. Remember to specify the path or use the launch button (...) to select the file with a file dialog.
e) Check the selection and query options to best meet your needs. If you wish to merge all of the above, mark Select All and Never Query.
f) Move all of the tables from the Available Source Table column to the Tables to Merge/Copy column by clicking the >> button.
g) Click the Execute button.

SPECIAL NOTES:
1. This report is exactly the same as the GCA standard US_COMPACTION graph shipped with our standard laboratory testing files with the exception that the curve, the Maximum Dry Density, and Optimum Water Content are corrected for oversized rock according to ASTM D 4718. To use this form you must insert the following two fields into the COMPACTION table:
Bulk_SG_Oversized (bulk specific gravity of the oversized fraction)
Water_Content_Oversized (water content of the oversized fraction)
Make both Type "Single", that is, they must be floating point numbers.
You can merge these fields in from either GRF A GNNN01.GPJ or .GDT by the following procedure:
A. Move to Data Design:Project Database.
B. Open your data template template or project.
C. Move to the COMPACTION table.
D. Select the Tables:Merge fields from other file.
E. Select either GRF A GNNN01.GPJ or .GDT.
F. Select the COMPACTION table.
The special calculations for the corrections can be found in Data Design:User System Data. The oversized corrections will only be performed if:
A. There is a value for the Bulk_SG_Oversized in the COMPACTION table.
B. There is a value for the Water_Content_Oversized in the COMPACTION table.
C. There is some fraction of the sieve analysis associated with the compaction test (same PointID and Depth) that is above the #4 (4.75mm) sieve.
If these three conditions are not met, the results are calculated normally.
Note that some clients consider oversized rock as retained on the 3/4" (19mm) sieve, not the #4 sieve. The size at which you define the limit of the oversized rock is defined in the Data Design:User System Data application under GRF A GNNN01_Oversize_Limit. In the value in millimeters. As shipped its value is 4.75. Change to 19 for the 3/4" sieve or any other value you normally use.
If the corrections are applied the curve will be shift horizontally and vertically appropriately and the values of the Maximum Dry Density and Optimum Moisture Content input in the COMPACTION table are also modified appropriately. Therefore, the Maximum Dry Density and Optimum Moisture Content must be input as the uncorrected values obtained from the test.
2. Remove the "Logo" text and its surrounding rectangle at the lower left, and replace with your company logo (Draw:Discrete
Graphics or Draw:Bitmap Symbol).
3. The company information at the lower left is taken from the Help:Company Information dialog.
4. You can easily change this report to work with A4 paper. Just modify the Left Margin, Bottom Margin and Paper Size properties
on the Report Properties dialog. You won't have to change the units from inches to millimeters, it will work this way just
fine.
