gINT Specialty Application:
  CBR Test

Requires gINT Professional version 7.1.029 or later.  If you have an earlier release of version 7, download the latest build using Help:Check for gINT Update anywhere in the program.

gINT Logs and gINT Logs Plus do not have access to Graph reports and will therefore not work.  Please call us or contact sales@gcagint.com for product upgrade information if you are on one of these products and are interested in upgrading to gINT Professional.

CBR TEST.GDT
  gINT project data template.  You can clone this file to create new project files.

CBR TEST.GPJ
  gINT project file containing some data.  You can use this file to clarify any input procedure questions by looking at the way the data was entered in the Input application.  You can also output this data using the report template to see what the final output looks like.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Copy CBR TEST.GPJ to your gINT projects folder (usually C:\Program Files\GINT\PROJECTS or C:\Program Files\GINTW\PROJECTS).

2. Copy CBR TEST.GDT to your gINT projects data template folder (usually C:\Program Files\GINT\DATATMPL or C:\Program Files\GINTW\DATATMPL).

3. Merge CBR TEST.GLB:
    Bring up gINT.
    Move to the Utilities application group and then to the Lib Merge/Copy application.
    Mark "Merge From".
    Specify the source library file as CBR TEST.GLB.  Remember to specify the path or use the launch button (...) to select the file with a file dialog.
    Check the selection and query options to best meet your needs.  If you wish to merge all of the above, mark Select All and Never Query.
    Move all of the tables from the Available Source Table column to the Tables to Merge/Copy column by clicking the >> button.
    Click the Execute button.

4. Accessing the required data structures:
  A. To bring the required data structures into your existing database structure:
  Four new tables must be inserted into your project structure under the LAB TESTING group as well and two to four fields into the LAB SPECIMEN table.  These are:
    TABLES:
      CBR DETAILS - One to many child of LAB SPECIMEN
      CBR MOISTURE - One to many child of CBR DETAILS
      CBR LOAD TEST - One to one child of CBR DETAILS
      CBR PENETRATION - One to many child of CBR LOAD TEST

    Additional LAB SPECIMEN fields:
      Sample Identification
      CBR Test Date
      CBR Figure Number
      Description

You may or may not have Sample Identification and Description already. You probably don't have the other two.

In addition, the following fields are inserted into the PROJECT table if they don't exist already:
  Client
  Name
  Location
  Number

If you already have these fields but under different names, delete them after the merge but moving to Data Design:Project Database. Then move to Reports:Graphs, CBR VS DRY DENSITY, and edit the fields in the header appropriately. Note that the field references are under the ASSOCIATED TEXT tab of the text properties dialog for these four entities.

To insert these tables and fields:
  1. Open a current project in Input. This project MUST have the LAB TESTING group in the project. If not, select the File:Lab Testing Support menu item.
  2. Select the File:Merge Project Tables and Fields menu item and then select CBR TEST.GPJ or CBR TEST.GDT.

  B. To use the provided database structure:
  Just clone CBR TEST.GDT to create new projects.

SPECIAL NOTES:
1.  You need to remove the "Logo" text at the upper left and its surrounding rectangle.  You can then specify your company logo in its place (Draw:Discrete Graphics or Draw:Bitmap Symbol).
2. The company information at the upper left is taken from the Help:Company Information dialog.
