gINT SOFTWARE CELEBRATES 20-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Windsor, California, September 14, 2006 - gINT Software celebrates its 20-year anniversary in mid-2006. The company, which provides geotechnical and geoenvironmental software solutions for data management and reporting, first opened its doors for business in the summer of 1986. gINT Software now supports a global user base of 6,000 users in 53 countries.

gINT Software had its genesis when founder and president Salvatore Caronna, M.S., P.E., recognized an industry need for the development of a borehole log software package that would both manage geotechnical data and automate the production of borehole logs. The company's first product was a DOS-based product called the "gEOTECHNICAL INTegrator" - "gINT" for short. This was replaced by a popular Windows version in 1996. Because the product was soon adopted outside the geotechnical industry and used by geoenvironmental professionals as well, gINT Software eventually changed the product name to the short well-known acronym by which it is known today.

Since then, gINT has grown to provide superior reporting solutions not only for borehole logs, but also for all kinds of geotechnical and geoenvironmental reports including fence diagrams, graphs, histograms, and tables. Not only does the software produce reports, it also offers a wide array of data management capabilities, including the ability to completely customize database structures to suit an individual company's needs, enabling companies to effectively store and reutilize the data they have collected. In addition, sophisticated programming tools within gINT enable clients to automate many manual routines.

"It's been a phenomenal two decades," said Mr. Caronna. "Considering the state of the industry twenty years ago, we've come a long way. We're extremely proud that gINT Software remains the industry leader. We've managed to remain on top by keeping our product performance superior and providing customer care that our customers tell us is nothing short of stellar."

Customers new and old share an appreciation for the efficiency gINT Software has brought to their work, and also commented on gINT Software's highly acclaimed technical services.

"What stands out most in my mind when I think about gINT is good service," said Dennis Anderson, graphics manager at the Sacramento, California office of Kleinfelder, Inc., a professional services firm in natural and built environments. Kleinfelder offices have been using gINT since the late 1980s. "Over the years, gINT Software has been consistently responsive at answering technical support and "how-to" queries. With gINT, we have certainly come a long way from the old days of manually creating borehole logs with typewriters.

"Today, we are standardized with the latest version of gINT. In addition, our use of gINT-compatible PLog software allows us to collect field data using a handheld PDA and import straight into gINT for editing, making our data input process especially efficient," Mr. Anderson continued. "We currently have 40 Kleinfelder offices using gINT."

One of gINT Software's newest clients, IGSL Ltd in County Kildare, Ireland, is a geotechnical consultancy and advisory firm that specializes in site investigation and laboratory testing and provides on-site testing laboratories to major earthworks and design-&-build projects. ISGL Project Engineer David Green remarked on the surprising ease of his company's transition to gINT.

"As with every new package, we were prepared for several days of "down-time" while installing and learning the gINT system before it would ever become useful," said Mr. Green. "However, within an hour of installing gINT, we were producing borehole logs and cross section diagrams. The user interface is simple and intuitive and there was very little need to reference the user manual."

Mr. Green considered the transition to gINT to be seamless and commented on the helpfulness of gINT Software's support staff. "We have been very impressed with the swift after-sales service provided by gINT Software, and the support team's continuing willingness to help. Overall, we have managed to switch to gINT without suffering any of the hiccups usually associated with the purchase of a new software package."

Good service and ease of use are bywords for gINT Software, and the company intends to continually improve both its software and its service level. "gINT Software is all about good service," said Mr. Caronna, "because we know that the combination of good software together with good service is unbeatable."
